My freshman year lasted from 2021-2022, and I had APOLLO during the fall semester. After an entire school year spent on Zoom and many more in a traditional classroom, I began to realize that my attention span could not survive an hour long lecture about figurative language or another worksheet about the American Revolution, so I wanted to try something different. So during the summer preceding ninth grade, I learned about this project-based class called APOLLO during my high school orientation. I decided to take two subjects rather than three as there was an option to do so, and I took English II and American Studies as my APOLLO classes. All in all, it was a good year, and I am proud to showcase my projects to you here:
